for your school. Photographs of your performances, students and costumes reflect the spirit and professionalism of your studio so it is important for these images to be fresh and dynamic - and this is what I do best.
I like to work with a memorandum of understanding as it promotes the sucecss of our collaboration and ensures a positive and lasting relationship. The following is a brief summary of this agreement and a more comprehensive version can be found here.
• Your studio, students or parents are not obligated to purchase photographs.
• Photographs are supplied to your studio as proof files on disk and up to
50 fully edited photographs of your choice.
• You are licensed to reproduce the fully edited files only and for purposes such as marketing, promotion, and reporting to funding bodies in both print and electronic form ONLY if the following credit is included:
“Photo by Belinda- www.dancephotography.net.au”
• They must not be offered, sold or distributed to parents, students or staff of your school or any other third party.
• The studio for the photography session must be clean and free of furniture at the commencement of the set up time.
In addition to your private webpage, I supply your dance school with promotional material before and after the photo shoot.
An announcement notice is emailed to you as a high resolution mastercopy that you print and disperse to students. It includes details about the shoot , what to bring and the website address for viewing.

A range of posters featuring some of the best photographs from your shoot mailed to you around two weeks after the shoot. Each poster displays the website address for viewing and deadline date for orders. They crete a colourful display at your studio and cause quite a stir umong the students and parents. New Policy
Due to the increasing demand for my services each year it is neccessary for me to introduce a new policy. From 2011 I can only provide photography for in studio OR a performance/dress rehearsal.
If photography for both is required a fee of $700 payable by the dance school for performance photography. All photographs from both sessions are then supplied to you for promotional purposes as usual.
I like to provide more photographs for students and parents to choose from but providing two shoots for the one dance school limits my availablity to provide a service to others.
This decision will also eliminate the need for me to dramatically increase the pricing structure to your students and thier families.
Your dress rehearsal is the best time to capture performance photographs because I have the freedom to move around the auditorium and shoot from different angles. Candid photographs are also captured during the rehearsal process.

The options are:
• A date exclusively for photography for all students at your school. A minimum of 65 students is required for the shoot.
• In conjunction with a full dress reharsal at your school.
This option is only possible if you have two seperate studios or spaces. As dancers complete their rehearsal they proceed to to have their photos captured.
• A date exclusively for private sessions for students who register their interest. A minimum of 35 students is required for the shoot to proceed and a deposit of $30 is payable per student prior to the shoot. This deposit is then deducted from a order.
Frequently Asked Questions
• How much time should I allow for each class to be photographed?
This depends greatly on class size, how many costumes they may have and their age. This is best discussed directly with me so we can tailor a schedule to meet the needs of your school.
• How far in advance should I book the shoot?
In order to avoid disapointment it's best to contact me as soon as you know your performance dates. I always become fully booked for October/November/December and have a "forst in" polcy.
• Can you photograph our performance as well?

Most certainly! Let me know your ideas and we can talk about the feasability.
• How many students can you fit on your set at once for a group shot?
This is always a fun excercise! I have been known to have around 50 for a spectacular whole school photograph.
• We need some photographs from the dress rehearsal for the programme... is this possible?
This really depends on the time frame
between the shoot and printing. Generally I would need at least 3 days to send you a collection of 10 fully edited photographs of my choice via email.
